As our time with the Zafira draws to a close, it’s worth mentioning a few things that haven’t made the reports thus far.

Firstly, on the positive side, the car has impressive visibility all-round, especially in the region of the A-pillars, and quite possibly all that light that enters the cabin as a result contributes to the impression of the car feeling bigger on the inside than on the outside.

On the negative side, I never did get to appreciate the exterior looks, which for me had something of the ‘it doesn’t float my boat but at least it’s useful’ feel to it.

Also, a while back, the car stopped recognising my iPod for some reason, but fortunately this glitch only lasted a couple of days. My next statement will prove I’m far from an expert in in-car electronics, but I wondered if the extremely cold weather that was around at the time might have had something to do with it as it’s never been a problem since.

Finally, I’ve only recently noticed that there’s a gear-change indicator that appears on the display in the dash to help improve fuel economy, but

it’s so small that it’s never got my attention until now, which makes it look like an afterthought.
