I was left scratching my head when I couldn’t figure out why the Leon’s heated wing mirrors didn’t seem as effective as I thought they should be.
While winter has so far been wetter than it has been cold, I have experienced the odd frosty night/morning and fired up the demisters to clear both the screens and the mirrors. The former has worked as expected but the latter wasn’t so good.
An email to Seat’s PR team set me right:?it’s the wing mirror adjustment dial (pictured) that activates the demisters – turn it to the 12 o’clock position and they clear up quick. Granted, it’s almost impossible to see from the driver’s seat, but I still felt a bit dopey.
