The Avensis’s ‘keyless entry’ is great when you have your hands full.
Sidle up with key in pocket, pull the boot or door handle and you’re in.
Press the starter button and the engine fires up without recourse to further pocket fiddling. Equally, when leaving, slide a finger over two grooves on either of the front exterior door handles and it locks (see picture).
A word of warning, though: take the key out of wherever you left it – e.g. your jacket – when at home or you could spend all the time gained from such ease of entry and exit finding it again for the next journey.
