The Avensis Tourer is great at paraphernalia storage.

Beyond the secret underfloor compartments mentioned in the first report, it also offers four lashing points – that can be moved on two runners for netting big stuff – plus two further really adaptable areas, one behind each wheel arch.

Stuff that might otherwise get squashed, break or generally roll around annoyingly can be stored behind these low plastic walls, but if you need room for bigger fragile objects then these walls easily lift out of their slots along with their own floor sections to reveal a deeper and wider space.

It’s a simple but really useful detail not all estates have or do as well.
