Satnav in the Mazda CX-7 is a standard item, and while it is excellent at finding the place you want to go first time (using either street address or postcode), it does have some peculiarities.

The first is that it takes at least four button presses to turn the nav to mute. And if you then turn the ignition off (say to refuel) it forgets you’ve set mute and you have to go through the procedure all over again. The second weirdness is that it doesn’t always select the obviously quickest route, and unlike other systems there’s no option to select between shortest or quickest. Odd.
