Mercedes makes much of its A-Class’s connectivity, but on the European test launch back in 2012
I struggled for 40 minutes to Bluetooth my iPhone 4 to the car before resorting to a wiggly cable.
Merc’s global IT specialist admitted that iPhones and Blackberrys couldn’t be paired without taking a non-intuitive path through the car’s menu and initiating proceedings from the remote device first.
Luckily, the problem has been ironed out as my long-termer connects via Bluetooth with ease (just as well as there’s no iPhone 5 cable provided yet). Streamed music and hands-free calls sorted.
