Less candy, more Marmite is how I’d describe the shade of our new long-term Ford Focus.
Officially Candy Yellow, one of two new colours along with a more subtle Candy Red, it is a conversation piece and has produced what’s probably best described as a mixed reception so far. It costs £745 against the normal metallic paint fee of £495, and Ford’s fleet boss Kevin Griffin told me recently that the new colours were brought in to add additional ‘wow factor’.
I’m curious how the passing of time over the coming months will change opinions on what is the loudest car in our car park.
