Due to its age, my iPod Nano is not compatible with Audi’s Multi Media Interface system, which has necessitated the purchase of an inexpensive FM transmitter.
Plug your Apple product in one end, tune in the device to an empty FM frequency, press play on the iPod and away you go.
It works fine, so long as you can live with the interference from stations that can creep in around the edges as you drive through their coverage areas.
But it’s a shame to have to resort to such solutions, especially when other brands provide at least a USB port, meaning compatibility with their cars has never been a problem.
