The 2010 upgrades to the Lexus GS450h include slight styling changes that enhance an already stylish swooping executive cruiser, plus revised safety systems and upgrades to the standard navigation and audio systems.
The Lexus makes an impressive pitch to be the most relaxing executive car on sale, and the plush equipment and cabin décor give off the feeling of class. The only problem is that hybrid system’s batteries take a huge chunk out of the boot space, to the point where most small coupes are more practical for a week away.
But the figures stack up impressively against petrol-powered rivals, thanks to the hybrid power train that helps keep emissions and economy at decent levels, especially in urban confines, although a sub-30% residual value sees a high cost-per-mile figure of 96.4p.
