Enhanced fleet CO2 reporting technology has been launched by Webfleet.
The fleet management technology provider’s reporting tool now allows fleets to distinguish between ‘scope 1’ emissions – those that come directly from internal combustion engined vehicles – and scope 2 – the indirect emissions from purchased electricity from the grid consumed by EVs.
The Webfleet CO2 Report provides real-time and historical data on trips, as well as monthly and annual insights.
The technology is certified by verification body TUV Rheinland.
Jan-Maarten de Vries, president of fleet management solutions at Webfleet’s parent company Bridgestone Mobility Solutions, said: “As sustainability continues to transform mobility, access and transparency of key metrics become paramount for fleets of all sizes.
“We understand the complexities of sustainability reporting and that it can be challenging for fleets to manage this new data.
“By adding the capability to accurately track scope 2 emissions with certified calculation methods to our proven CO2 reporting tool, we provide customers with a better understanding of their overall environmental impact.
“These new additions offer a more holistic view of sustainability reporting for our customers, while simplifying valuable insights for informed decision-making that drive sustainability, efficiency and long-term value.”
