Volvo‘s baby off-roader the XC60 will go on sale priced from £24,750 in October.

The new Freelander-rivalling car will be available with two diesel and one petrol engine at launch, with all vehicles featuring four-wheel drive.

However, Volvo is known to be considering bringing in a front-drive XC60 which would be priced around £23,000 and would also have better CO2 and mpg figures.

Volvo has yet to officially reveal CO2 figures for the four-wheel drive car, but insiders suggest an entry figure of 190g/km for the 163PS 2.4D.
