Volvo has introduced a new service allowing drivers to get someone to clean their car via a mobile app.
Volvo Car Mobile Wash, initially available in the UK inside the M25, is being offered in conjunction with GoWashMyCar.
Drivers can choose when and where the car wash takes place, and do not have to be present for it, since they can unlock their car remotely via the Volvo On Call service.
The package includes a free car health check, covering tyre pressures and tread depth, a screenwash top-up, a coolant level check and a visual report on the condition of the bodywork.
Various levels of wash are available, as are additional services such as a body wax or eco-friendly water-minimising clean.
Volvo is planning to roll out the service to other parts of the UK at a later date.
Volvo Car UK marketing strategy director Mike Johnstone said: “Working with the expert team at GoWashMyCar, we have designed this new service to be hassle-free for our customers and to provide them the kind of premium-quality valeting their car deserves.”
