Fleet management specialist Venson Automotive Solutions is to offer a new engine remapping service through partner company Viezu Technologies.
Remapping is traditionally known for boosting the performance of vehicles by rewriting the software in a car’s electronic brain.
However, the same technology is now more commonly used to boost the real-world economy of modern turbo-diesel engines.
Under the partnership, Venson customers will benefit from Viezu’s expertise in remapping cars and vans by optimising the efficiency of a vehicle according to the way it will be driven.
This marks part of Venson’s ongoing commitment to providing a tailor-made approach to fleet management.
The engine remapping typically limits the speed and performance of the vehicle to not only improve mpg, but also reduce wear and tear on vehicle components.
Paul Busby, CEO of Viezu Technologies said: “Venson is a major player in the commercial vehicle fleet management market, making this a key partnership for us, as we continue to change the reputation of engine remapping.
“Our modifications are guaranteed and insured, ensuring we always work within the tolerances of the vehicle. By making subtle changes, we can increase the efficiency of commercial vehicles, helping Venson deliver real benefits to its customers.”
