February has seen Vauxhall overtake Ford at the top of the fleet registration lists.
While Ford sold 21.8% fewer vehicles than in February last year, Vauxhall managed an increase of 9.5%.
Despite the Astra topping the list, the big success in the vehicle top ten was Vauxhall’s soon-to-be-replaced Vectra, which rose from ninth to fifth. 2065 were registered in the month, an increase of 93.7% on last year’s 1066.
Compared to January, all sales figures were down, but Ford’s Mondeo saw the biggest fall, slipping from fourth to eighth in the list.
Elsewhere, the Peugeot 308 dropped off the bottom of the list, being replaced in the top ten by the VW Passat.
