Vauxhall’s new 4×4 variant of the Insignia estate, the Country Tourer, will cost from £25,349 for the 163hp 2.0-litre diesel when it arrives in the UK in January.

CO2 will start at 147g/km for the same model, which will also return an official 50.4mpg. The Insignia Country Tourer is available in two trim levels: standard or Nav.

The Nav version adds £1150 to the price and includes an 8-inch touchscreen system. Alongside the 163hp diesel, Vauxhall is also offering the 195hp bi-turbo 2.0-litre diesel.

The bi-turbo car is only available with an automatic gearbox, while on the lower-powered car this is an option. The range-topping Country Tourer in Nav, auto and 195hp guise costs £30,859 and emits 174g/km with 42.8mpg.
