Vauxhall has confirmed UK specs and prices for its new Frontera medium SUV.
The model will be available with a choice of electric or 48V hybrid powertrains – both of which will have the same starting price of £23,495, in what Vauxhall says is a UK market first.
The electric Frontera will feature a 113hp electric motor, and a 44kWh battery, with a provisional range of up to 186 miles on the WLTP cycle ( a Long Range version with a provisional 248 mile range will also join the line-up next year).
48V hybrid Fronteras will be available with either 100hp or 136hp, with both versions offering a provisional CO2 figure of 120g/km.
The new Frontera range will consist of Design and GS equipment grades. Standard equipment with the Design grade will include automatic headlights and wipers, two 10in screens, sat-nav, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless smartphone charging, rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, cruise control with speed limiter, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and driver attention alert.
Further equipment with the GS grade will include 17in alloy wheels, tinted rear windows, LED tail lights, climate control, front parking sensors, and an electro-chromatic rear view mirror.
48V hybrid Fronteras will also be available with seven seats.
Orders for the new Frontera range will open this Autumn.
