Jeep has introduced updates for its Renegade small SUV range.
The changes are mainly focused on the model’s interior, and include a new 10.1in infotainment screen, and 10.25in driver display. Jeep says a processing power upgrade means the system can work five times quicker than previously, and it also supports over-the-air updates.
The Amazon Alexa voice assistant is included, and drivers can operate the door locks and lights via a smartphone app.
There is also a new digital reversing camera system, USB A and C ports, and wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity.
The updated Renegade is available to order now, with a choice of four equipment grades – Altitude, Summit, Overland, and Trailhawk. The former two come with a 130hp, front-wheel drive, mild hybrid powertrain, the latter two with a 240hp, all-wheel drive, plug-in hybrid powertrain. Jeep says efficiency upgrades to these powertrains mean improved fuel economy and CO2 emissions by up to 5%.
Standard equipment with the Altitude grade includes 17in alloy wheels, full LED headlights, tail lights, DRLs, and fog lights, and automatic air conditioning, while features of the Summit grade include 18in alloys, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
Standard features of the Overland grade include mud and snow tyres and 40/20/40 folding rear seats, while features of the off-road focused Trailhawk include various underfloor skid plates, a terrain-select drive mode system, and a height-adjustable boot floor.
Prices start at £30,500 for the Altitude grade, and rise to £33,000 for Summit, £38,000 for Overland, and £39,000 for Trailhawk.
