Fleets should not be concerned about the latest spate of recalls issued by Toyota.
The Japanese firm issued a recall for 138,000 vehicles in the UK on 10 October relating to faulty electric window switches, which can overheat and melt if they have been treated with the incorrect lubricants.
The recall relates to Rav4, Yaris Auris and Corollas built between September 2006 and December 2008, which means that even firms operating Toyotas on longer than average lease terms are highly unlikely to be affected by the faults.
This follows the widely publicised bout of recalls that the company issued in 2010, which were found not to have any serious safety implications.
