Toyota has introduced a new domestic EV charger, designed to work seamlessly with its vehicles and the MyToyota app.
The Toyota Homecharge wallbox charger is said to offer greater functionality, interactivity and integration than when using third party wallbox systems to charge a Toyota vehicle, with app-based charging schedule management.
The charger, which is also capable of charging non-Toyota vehicles with Type 2 Mode 3 connections, is installed in partnership with British Gas, with subsequent customer support provided by Toyota specialists.
The charger is available to order now, with the first installations due to start in late May.
It sits alongside the Toyota Charging Network, which offers access to more than 27,000 UK public chargers.
