Jaama scoops the award for best fleet management system this year for its web-enabled software system Key2 Vehicle Management.
Claiming to have invested over £6m in “on-going development to meet a wide cross-section of fleet and driver management requirements”, it has recently launched a third generation Electronic Driver Services module, which is both a risk management tool and a driver information portal. It risk-profiles company car and grey fleet drivers, providing an audit trail of driver and vehicle documentation. It also includes a fuel benefit and mileage reimbursement calculator.
Driving licence checking is paramount for fleet managers: upgrades to Jaama’s system enables the populating of driver information obtained from the DVLA into existing third party online systems such as those run by HR departments.
And following the development of a new online Road Fund Renewal Licence platform by the DVLA, Jaama has introduced a new online RFL renewal service. Other innovations include the electronic submission of expenses and benefit information to HM Revenue and Customs and the introduction of a vehicle check and defect reporting system, called Defect Manager.
Highly commended goes to Civica Tranman, a pool car web application, which provides drivers with online access to pool car information and availability. Drivers are able to book vehicles at any time, and are provided with an immediate response, freeing up the fleet department.
