Ssangyong’s new Tivoli SUV will go on sale in the UK the summer next year and will come with a Euro 6 1.6-litre diesel engine.

Ssangyong hasn’t released any power or CO2 figures yet, but expect the CO2 figure to be lower than the Korando’s 147g/km from the firm’s 2.0-litre 149hp petrol model.

If the new model has a CO2 output below 130g/km, it could start to unlock fleet volumes for the Korean brand.

The Tivoli has been in development at Ssangyong for the last three years and was recently shown in concept form at the Paris motor show in September.
