Peugeot has confirmed UK sale details for the SW estate version of its new 308 lower-medium car.

Like with the previously-announced hatch, the SW, which features a boot capacity of 608 litres with the rear seats in place and 1,634 litres with them folded, will come with a choice of two plug-in hybrid powertrains, producing 180hp and 225hp, with a pure electric range of up to 39 miles under official WLTP testing, and CO2 emissions of 25-26g/km depending on spec.

Petrol and diesel engines, both producing 130hp, will also be available, and eight-speed automatic transmission is standard throughout the range.

The SW will also be available in the same five equipment grades as the 308 hatch – Active Premium, Allure, Allure Premium, GT, and GT Premium.

Prices for the SW start at £25,200 – £1,200 more than the hatch – for a 130hp petrol Active Premium model, and rise as high as £40,000 for a 225hp PHEV GT Premium.

Reservations for the SW are open now, with the first cars set to arrive in showrooms early next year.
