Skoda has appointed Patrick McGillycuddy, formerly national corporate sales manager at Vauxhall, as head of fleet, ending more than half a year without a fleet boss.

He replaces Martin Burke who left the manufacturer in January to take up the position of head of customer quality for Volkswagen Group UK.

In his new role, McGillycuddy will focus on growing the brand’s fleet market share and developing a local business offering across the retail network.

McGillycuddy said: “Looking ahead, we have a number of exciting new product updates, including a new-look Superb before the end of the year.

“With such a strong offering for both the contract hire and leasing and SME markets, the future looks incredibly bright for Skoda.”

The carmaker has also appointed Henry Williams, previously at Audi, as national fleet sales manager while Yulia Eaton joins as area fleet sales manager for the Midlands and Northern Ireland from Seat. Eaton replaces Paul Fitton who has been promoted to fleet programme manager.
