Shell has opened the UK’s largest filling station on the southern section of the M25.
Located between junctions nine and 10, the site has 141 fuel nozzles, six high-speed HGV lanes and three Adblue pumps.
Shell claims it is the only filling station on the M25 to offer autogas and has the capacity to handle 3400 vehicles a day.
Its opening also heralds the removal of a long-standing, 40mph average speed check that has surrounded that area of the M25 during the site’s construction.
