Peugeot has unveiled a facelifted version of its 3008 SUV.
Styling changes include a new frameless front grille, a new front bumper design with gloss black side scoops and an integrated painted treadplate, and redesigned headlights, with LED technology standard across the range, while LED tail lights are also standard.
Peugeot says the headlights come with a new ‘fog mode’, replacing the previous fog lights, which switches on the low beam headlights with reduced intensity when the rear fog lights are activated.
Inside, there’s a 12.3in digital instrument panel, and a new 10in infotainment touchscreen is fitted throughout the range, with ‘piano key’ shortcuts to major functions.
Available driver assistance systems include a night vision system, adaptive cruise control, lane positioning assist and autonomous emergency braking – the latter capable of detecting both pedestrians and cyclists at night and working at up to 86mph.
Two plug-in hybrid powertrains are available, along with two petrol engines and one diesel.
The PHEV options include the Hybrid4 300, which pairs a 200hp petrol engine with two electric motors, producing a combined 300hp and allowing four-wheel drive, and the Hybrid 225, which pairs a 180hp engine with a single motor for a combined 225hp output.
Respective CO2 emissions figures on the WLTP cycle are 29g/km and 30g/km, while electric driving ranges are 36 miles and 34 miles.
The petrol options are a 130hp 1.2-litre and a 180hp 1.6-litre, and the diesel option is a 130hp 1.5-litre.
Peugeot has expanded the 3008 range with new ‘Premium’ versions of the main equipment grades, meaning the spec walk now reads Active, Active Premium, Allure, Allure Premium, GT and GT Premium.
Standard equipment with Active includes keyless start, dual-zone air conditioning and rear parking sensors, while Active Premium comes with electrically folding mirrors, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity and a front parking aid.
Allure comes with 18in alloy wheels, tinted windows, and sat-nav with the 10in display, while Allure Premium adds keyless entry and go, a roof rack and reclining passenger seats.
Standard equipment with GT includes the Assist Plus Drive Premium package and full LED headlights, while GT Premium adds 19in alloy wheels, a hands-free tailgate, and massaging seats.
The revised 3008 will arrive in the coming months. Prices are yet to be announced.
