A Renault dealer has hailed a major take-up of electric cars among its staff.
Charles Hurst Renault says 20 of its employees now drive electric Renault Zoes as their company cars, which it says represents a £600,000 investment.
Fleet manager Terry Murray said the Northern Ireland-based company was proud to be championing a move to environmentally-friendly vehicles as part of an ongoing commitment to sustainability initiatives.
He said: “Charles Hurst’s significant investment in electric vehicles is a progressive and positive step towards reaching our environmental goals.
“We recognise our role in helping to protect the environment for future generations and as a business, we are continually looking for new ways to improve our sustainability objective and the investment into Renault Zoe allows us to considerably reduce our carbon footprint.
“With a range of up to 245 miles the Zoe is perfect for daily commutes and long trips, offering peace of mind and the ability to enjoy all the benefits of the switch to an electric vehicle.”
