Renault has confirmed UK specs and prices for its new small EV, the 5 E-Tech.

The model is being made available with two powertrain options – a 120hp motor with a 40kWh battery, and a 150hp motor with a 52kWh battery, with provisional WLTP ranges of 190 miles and 248 miles respectively.

The 5 E-Tech is launching with a choice of Evolution, Techno, and Iconic Five equipment grades.

Standard equipment with the Evolution grade includes 18in alloy wheels, full LED front and rear lights, a 10.1in infotainment screen, a 7in driver display, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, automatic air conditioning, a hands-free keycard, rear parking sensors, cruise control, driver attention alert, traffic sign recognition with speed alert, and an 11kW bi-directional charger.

Further equipment with the Techno grade includes built-in Google infotainment, DC charge preconditioning, a 10in driver display, a wireless phone charger, a reversing camera, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go.

Further features of the Iconic Five grade include a heated steering wheel, heated front seats with lumbar adjustment, hands-free parking, an active driver assist system, and a blind spot warning system.

Range prices start at £22,995 for a 120hp Evolution, and rise as high as £28,995 for a 150hp Iconic Five.

Orders are due to open in January, with the first deliveries expected in Spring.
