DS has confirmed prices for its new flagship saloon, orders for which open tomorrow (8 April).

The DS 9 will be offered with a choice of two equipment grades – Performance Line + and Rivoli + – and two initial powertrains – a 225hp petrol, and 225hp E-Tense plug-in hybrid. A further 360hp plug-in hybrid will follow.

Prices announced so far are £40,615 for a Performance Line + petrol, £44,715 for a Rivoli + petrol, £46,100 for a Performance Line + 225hp plug-in hybrid, and £49,200 for a Rivoli + 225hp plug-in hybrid – prices for the 360hp plug-in hybrid are yet to be announced.

DS says the 225hp plug-in hybrid is capable of covering up to 34 miles on battery power on the WLTP cycle, and can be charged in 90 minutes with a domestic or public charge point thanks to a 7.4kW onboard charger.

All models come with eight-speed automatic transmission, and the more powerful plug-in hybrid will come with four-wheel drive.
