A newly-updated version of the Polestar 2 EV has been announced, including an upgraded powertrain.
Single-motor variants, which are now rear-wheel drive, have power outputs increased from 231hp to 299hp, while dual-motor variants have received increases from 407hp to 421hp. Up to 475hp is available with the optional Performance Pack.
Updated batteries have also been fitted, with Long Range variants now having 82kWh capacity, while Standard Range models retain 69kWh. Charging speeds have also been increased, with up to 205kW now for Long Range batteries, and up to 135kW for Standard Range.
Exterior styling changes include a new front end with Polestar’s ‘SmartZone’ incorporating active safety features.
New items of standard equipment include a blind spot information system with steering support, rear collision warning and mitigation, a 360-degree camera, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, and a wireless phone charger.
The updated Polestar 2 is available to order now, with prices starting at £44,950. The first deliveries are expected in the third quarter of 2023.
