Peugeot ‘s 3008 medium SUV is being made available as a plug-in hybrid.
The new powertrain features a 1.6-litre petrol engine and a 92kW electric motor, with a combined output of 195hp, while a 21kWh battery delivers an EV-only range of up to 52 miles, incurring an 8% company car tax BIK rate.
The powertrain comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, while an optional 7.4kW on-board charger will allow a full battery charge in two house and 45 minutes.
A choice of Hybrid (automatic management of engine and motor power), Electric (allowing EV-only driving at up to 83mph where legal), and Sport (maximum power to the wheels) drive modes will be selectable.
The new powertrain is being made available with Allure and GT equipment grades, priced at £40,650 and £44,450 respectively.
The first customer deliveries are expected in early 2025.
The 3008 is also available as a full EV and as a mild hybrid.
