Peugeot has made a new trim level available for its 2008 compact SUV.
The new Allure Premium trim costs £800 more than the existing Allure trim, but Peugeot says it offers extra equipment worth more than £1,400.
The Allure Premium comes with a 7in colour touchscreen with connected 3D sat nav, voice control and TomTom live updates, as well as Peugeot’s CONNECT SOS and Assistance system.
There’s also a panoramic glass roof with an electric blind and ambient lighting, Oxford black trim and a leather-trimmed steering wheel, colour-coded door mirrors and door handles, a rear sports spoiler, front and rear scuff plates, wheel arch extensions and roof bars.
The car also comes with a colour reversing camera and rear parking aid.
Allure Premium trim is being offered with two engines; an 81hp petrol and a 99hp diesel.
Peugeot quotes 57.6mpg on a combined cycle for the petrol and 76.3mpg combined for the diesel, with the latter also achieving CO2 emissions of 97g/km.
The diesel also comes with Peugeot’s Grip Control function, which provides a choice of driving modes depending on whether the car is travelling on snow, mud, sand, or a normal surface.
Peugeot UK marketing director Mark Pickles said: “The addition of the Allure Premium to the Peugeot 2008 SUV was a natural step after the success of the 208 Allure Premium, and offers SUV style, space and presence in a package that represents outstanding value for money.
“For a small premium over the already generous Allure specification, customers will enjoy a host of luxury and technology enhancements.”
On-the-road prices for the Allure Premium are £18,645 for the petrol and £21,155 for the diesel.
