
MG has introduced pure petrol powertrain options for its MG3 small car and ZS SUV.
Both models, previously only offered as hybrids, are now also available with a 1.5-litre, 115hp petrol engine, paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.
With both ranges, the new engine option is only available with the entry-level SE equipment grade, and forms a new entry point to the range, priced at £16,495 for the MG3 and £19,495 for the ZS.
Standard equipment with both includes a 7in driver display, an infotainment touchscreen (measuring 10.25in with the MG3 and 12.3in with the ZS), sat-nav, a reversing camera, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, driver attention alert.
Further features of the ZS SE include adaptive cruise control and rear cross traffic alert.
