Citroen has announced the reintroduction of petrol and diesel engine options to its Berlingo van-derived MPV range.

The Berlingo has only been available as an EV since late-2020, when previous ICE-powered variants were axed, but Citroen has now announced that, due to what it described as persistent demand, the range is being re-extended.

The new engine options are a 110hp petrol, and 100hp and 130hp diesels – the first two with a six-speed manual gearbox, and the latter with an eight-speed automatic.

All engines will be available with the entry-level Feel equipment grade, and the 130hp diesel also with the range-topping Flair XTR grade.

Prices are £25,590 for a Feel petrol, £25,465 for a Feel 100hp diesel, £27,580 for a Feel 130hp diesel, and £29,825 for a Flair XTR diesel.

Orders are open now, with production due to start in May.
