BMW will reveal this new small off-roader badged X1, at the Paris motor show tomorrow.
The X1, unveiled in concept form, is expected to go into production mid-2009 and will sit below the X3 in the BMW range. The X1 is only a few centimetres shorter than the current X3, however, the next generation X3 is expected to grow to sit evenly between the X1 and the much larger X5.
BusinessCar’s sources have hinted the X1 will be available in both all-wheel drive and rear-drive forms. Power will come from a range of engines including the 177PS 2.0-litre diesel. All models will be fitted with BMW’s Efficient Dynamics low-CO2 technology.
