Porsche has revealed pictures and details of its new four-door sports car, the Panamera.

The Maserati Quattroporte rival borrows its style heavily from the other models in the Porsche range, with the front end very similar to the 911.

Panamera is more than just a stretched 911, though. It is 3mm wider than Porsche’s 4×4 Cayenne, and only 28mm shorter.

Porsche has not revealed what engines will make their way into the Panamera, but says to expect a series of V6 and V8 versions with power ranging from 300-500PS. In a first for Porsche, a hybrid engine has been confirmed as making its way into Panamera.

More details are expected in February prior to the car’s global debut in Spring next year, while first cars should arrive from late Summer. Prices are not yet available, but are predicted to be in excess of £60,000.
