The new Volkswagen Golf Estate is now available to order.
Three regular equipment grades are available – Life, Style, and R-Line – along with the crossover Alltrack variant.
Engine options with the new Golf Estate are numerous, including 110hp, 130hp and 150hp petrol engines, 115hp and 150hp diesel engines, and 110hp, 130hp and 150hp mild hybrids, while the Alltrack gets a 200hp diesel and four-wheel drive.
In official WLTP testing, the most fuel-efficient powertrain in the range is the 150hp diesel with a manual gearbox, with fuel economy of 58.9-61.4mpg, while the lowest CO2 emissions are produced by the 115hp diesel manual, at 120-128g/km.
The best-performing petrol engine is the 130hp manual (47.9-51.4mpg and 124-134g/km), and the best-performing mild hybrid is the 110hp auto (49.6-53.3mpg and 120-130g/km)
Figures for the Alltrack are 49.6mpg and 148-151g/km.
Standard equipment with Life spec includes LED headlights, DRLs and tail lights, 16in alloy wheels, a 10in touchscreen with sat-nav, a 10.25in driver information display, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and front and rear parking sensors.
Further equipment with Style includes 17in alloys, high beam assist, and three-zone climate control, while R-Line adds sports-inspired styling features alongside equipment such as a heated steering wheel and sports suspension.
