Peugeot has opened orders for new mild hybrid versions of its 3008 and 5008 SUVs.

As previously announced, the new powertrain features a 136hp petrol engine, together with a six-speed dual-clutch electrified gearbox with an integrated electric motor, allowing a fuel consumption reduction of up to 15% compared with equivalent pure petrol engine options, as well as reduced CO2 emissions.

Models with the new powertrain feature an updated digital instrument panel that displays colour-changing accents to indicate when the vehicle is running in all-electric mode, the battery charge level, and the flow of energy in the system.

Prices for cars with the new powertrain start at £34,130 for the 3008, and £38,095 for the 5008.
