Mercedes-Benz is now taking orders for the all-new version of its largest SUV.

The new GLS is available in three equipment grades – AMG Line Premium, AMG Line Premium Plus and AMG Line Premium Plus Executive.

Standard equipment with the entry-level car includes the MBUX interior assistant, Airmatic air suspension with active damping, heated front and rear seats, a driving assistance package, a Burmester surround sound system, 22in alloy wheels, a parking package with a 360-degree camera, a head-up display, keyless go, aluminium-look running boards and a panoramic roof.

Premium Plus adds kit including augmented reality navigation, a driving assistance plus package, climatised multi-contour front seats with massage functions, MBUX rear seat entertainment, a temperature-controlled cup holder and heated front and rear armrests. 

Further equipment with Premium Plus Executive includes a heated nappa leather multifunction steering wheel, climatised multi-contour rear seats with massage functions, electric rear sunblinds, 23in alloy wheels, an MBUX rear tablet and heated third row seats. 

An off-road package can also be added for a further £1,495.

Only one engine is currently available – a 3.0-litre, 330hp diesel, with combined fuel economy of 35.8mpg and CO2 emissions of 208g/km. 

Prices for the new GLS start at £73,995. The first deliveries are expected in the autumn.
