Nissan has announced reduced prices and two new equipment grade options for its Ariya EV range.

All existing Ariya variants with a 63kWh battery are now £3,000 cheaper than previously, while 87kWh variants are subject to a £3,750 price drop.

In addition, the model range has expanded at both ends, with new entry-level Engage and range-topping Evolve+ grades now available.

The Engage grade, for which prices start at £39,645, comes with two-wheel drive, and a choice of 63kWh or 87kWh batteries, offering a provisional range of 251 miles and 330 miles respectively. Standard equipment includes LED headlights with high-beam assist, front fog lights, LED rear fog lights, heated mirrors with automatic folding capabilities, 19in alloy wheels with aero covers, dual 12in screens, sat-nav, Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, a reversing camera, intelligent front emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, intelligent cruise control, and rear emergency braking with pedestrian recognition.

The Evolve+ grade is priced from £59,025, and features a 394hp four-wheel drive powertrain. Standard equipment on top of that offered with the existing Evolve grade includes 20in alloy wheels with aero covers, and Nappa Blue leather seat trim.
