Ford has pulled the wraps off a concept version of the next Ka city car. Despite not being the final production version, it does point strongly at how the finished article will look. The final version will be on sale in “a couple of years” according to Ford.

Engines and trims have yet to be confirmed but the concept has five doors, which marks a departure from previous Kas that have historically been three-door only. Ford claims it will be able to “seat five comfortably”.

The firm said the new model will feature equipment and technology from larger cars in its range such as a smartphone docking system and its Sync connectivity system.
