A new online portal for tracking road safety training has been introduced by the Driving for Better Business campaign.

The portal allows users to track their progress through the campaign’s free programme, and also follow others in their organisation.

There’s also a benchmarking tool, allowing users to compare their organisation against others and against best practice, and a gap analysis feature helps to identify any weak spots.

A resource library provides the tools – such as videos, information cards, and PDFs – to plug these gaps, and users can check which drivers have opened or accessed the resources sent to them.

The portal is said to have been built over six months with assistance from people running major UK fleets.

Driving for Better Business campaign manager Simon Turner said: “We’ve listened to our partners and made these changes to give users a consistent picture across organisations, as well as providing continuity when, for example, the transport manager moves to a new role.”
