Volkswagen has unveiled the ID.7 Tourer, a new upper-medium electric estate.
Following on from the regular ID.7 fastback, VW says the ID.7 Tourer will complement the ICE and plug-in hybrid Passat Estate in its line-up.
The ID.7 Tourer will offer a boot capacity of up to 605 litres with the rear seats in place, and up to 1,714 litres with them folded.
VW says the ID.7 Tourer will be offered with a choice of two battery sizes, with the largest allowing a range of up to 425 miles on the WLTP cycle. This battery will have a charging capacity of up to 200kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in less than 30 minutes.
Available features of the ID.7 Tourer’s interior will include an augmented reality head-up display, pressure-point massaging seats, automatic air conditioning, and a panoramic sunroof with smart glass.
Europe-wide pre-sales for the ID.7 Tourer are scheduled to open during the first quarter of this year. UK prices are yet to be announced.
