Subaru has revealed an all-new version of its Outback SUV-estate.
Compared with the previous-generation model, Subaru says the new Outback offers more interior space, while there is a 522-litre boot.
The model comes as standard with an 11.6in vertical infotainment touchscreen. Other standard equipment across the range includes keyless entry and push button start, LED headlights with high beam assist and an adaptive driving beam, and LED front fog lights.
Standard driver assistance systems include adaptive cruise control with lane centering, emergency lane keep assist, speed sign recognition with intelligent speed limiter, lane departure warning and prevention, pre-collision braking, and reverse automatic braking.
The new Outback is powered by a 2.5-litre boxer engine, paired with a CVT automatic transmission, and permanent symmetrical all-wheel drive.
There’s a choice of off-road driving modes to help with tricky terrain, while the model also boasts 213mm of ground clearance, and a 2,000kg braked or 750kg unbraked towing capacity.
Three equipment grades make up the range – Limited, Field, and Touring.
The new Outback is scheduled to arrive in showrooms on 27 May. Prices start at £33,995 for a Limited model, and rise to £37,995 for Field and £39,495 for Touring.
