Skoda has unveiled the new, second-generation version of its Kodiaq SUV.
For the first time, the new Kodiaq will be available with a plug-in hybrid powertrain option, with 204hp and capable of more than 62 miles of all-electric driving on the official WLTP cycle. Other engine options will include a 150hp mild hybrid petrol, a 204hp petrol, and 150hp and 193hp diesels.
Compared with the outgoing model, the new Kodiaq is 61mm longer, with a boot size increase of up to 75 litres with the rear seats in place.
The interior includes a free-standing infotainment display, measuring up to 13in, and ‘smart dials’ combining haptic controls with a 32mm digital display.
A ‘phone box’ charger will enable wireless charging of two smartphones at a time.
UK specs, prices, and an on-sale date for the new Kodiaq are yet to be confirmed.
