Skoda is adding a new equipment grade to its Kamiq small SUV line-up.

The Design Edition grade slots into the range between the existing SE Edition and SE L Edition grades.

Standard equipment includes 17in Propus aero alloy wheels, a black roof, black door mirrors, privacy glass, sports seats, cloth and microsuede upholstery, a three-spoke sports steering wheel, red dashboard trim, ambient lighting, black headlining, and aluminium pedals.

The Design Edition spec is being made available with a choice of 95hp and 116hp petrol engines – the former with a manual gearbox, and the latter with either a manual or a DSG automatic.

Prices for the Kamiq Design Edition will start at £25,855.

Orders will open on 16 January, with the first deliveries expected in Spring.
