Peugeot has unveiled the new EV version of its 408 fastback crossover.
The E-408 features a 210hp electric motor, and a battery with a useable capacity of 58.2kWh, allowing a WLTP combined range of up to 281 miles.
According to Peugeot, the E-408 completes its EV line-up, comprising 12 electric cars and LCVs.
The E-408, which sits alongside plug-in hybrid and 48V hybrid powertrain options in the 408 range, will be available with a choice of Allure and GT equipment grades.
Standard equipment with the Allure grade includes LED headlights, 19in alloy wheels, the Peugeot i-Cockpit set-up with a customisable 10-inch digital instrument cluster, connected sat-nav with a trip planner, ‘OK Peugeot’ voice control, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto connectivity, a six-speaker audio system, a heated driver’s seat and steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a reversing camera with sensors, and a heat pump.
Further features of the GT grade include matrix LED headlights, front parking sensors, aluminium interior trims with customisable eight-colour ambient lighting, aluminium door sills, a hands-free motorised tailgate, and the Drive Assist Plus pack.
UK orders for the E-308 will open on 5 November. Prices are yet to be confirmed.
