New Long Range versions of Peugeot’s E-3008 and E-5008 will cover more than 400 miles between charges, according to official WLTP figures.
The manufacturer has announced official ranges of 435 miles and 415 miles respectively for the medium and large SUVs.
Both models feature a 230hp electric motor, and a battery with a 96.9kWh usable capacity. DC charging speeds of up to 160kW will allow a 20-80% battery charge in 27 minutes.
Peugeot says that despite the larger battery capacity, efficient design means it is only 15mm thicker than the existing 73kWh version, meaning cabin and boot space is unaffected.
The E-3008 Long Range is set to debut at the Paris Motor Show next month. Full UK sale details for it and the E-5008 Long Range are yet to be announced.
