TTC Group has introduced two new e-learning modules designed to help business drivers with EVs.
The training and risk management company says the new 30-minute ‘Electric Vehicle Familiarisation’ module includes ‘need to know’ content for those driving an EV for the first time, including safety considerations, charging, and how to maximise range.
Alternatively, the 20-minute ‘So you think you know your EV?’ module is designed to help existing EV drivers achieve maximum possible range from their EV, and consider the safety of themselves and other road users.
TTC Group training product manager Andy Wheeler said: “These two modules came about due to client demand for a cost-effective training solution for their drivers moving over to an EV.
“Businesses are prioritising reducing carbon emissions through greening their fleets, but even those drivers who are keen to switch to electric often need some help in getting to know the new driving experience and requirements.
“Range anxiety is a big blocker for would-be EV-drivers, and the unknowns of charging, costs and maintenance doesn’t help. These courses will help get more fleet drivers on board with electric much sooner, quickly dispelling myths and assuaging concerns.”
