Audi has announced a new entry-level version of its Q4 E-Tron electric SUV.

Badged the 40, it features a 204hp electric motor with a 63kWh battery, allowing a range of up to 250 miles with the SUV bodystyle, or 258 miles with the Sportback.

A 165kW DC charging capacity allows a 10-80% battery recharge in 24 minutes. Charging times can be optimised via the car’s intelligent route planner and automatic battery-preconditioning function, or alternatively drivers now have the option of manually enabling battery preheating.

Orders for the Q4 40 E-Tron will open on 13 March, with a choice of Sport, S Line, and Black Edition equipment grades. SUV prices will be £46,600 for Sport, £49,150 for S Line, and £51,400 for Black Edition, while for Sportback models these prices will be £48,100, £50,650, and £52,900 respectively.
