Audi has announced full details of its new A6 E-Tron executive EV, which is available to order now.

The new model reflects Audi’s new naming convention, under which even numbers denote electric models and odd numbers are given to cars with combustion engines.

As previously announced, the A6 E-Tron is available with either Sportback hatch or Avant estate bodystyles. They come with a 380hp electric motor and 100kWh (94.9kWh net) battery, allowing a range of up to 463 miles between charges. Charging speeds are up to 270kW.

Also available is the S6 performance model, with 550hp and a range of up to 405 miles.

The A6 E-Tron comes with a choice of Sport, S Line, and Edition 1 equipment grades.

Standard equipment with the Sport grade includes three-zone air conditioning, a heat pump, an electric tailgate, sat-nav, 14.5in and 11.9in screens, 20in alloy wheels, LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera system, adaptive cruise control, front and rear emergency brake assist, intersection front cross traffic assist, traffic sign recognition, and an intelligent speed limiter system.

Further features of the S Line grade include privacy glass, sport seats, an aluminium footrest and pedals, black headliner, and S badging.

Additional features of the Edition 1 grade include 21in alloy wheels, matric lights, heated front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a front passenger screen, lane departure warning with emergency assist, and lane change assistant.

In addition, the S6 E-Tron, which is only available with the Edition 1 spec, comes with features including adaptive air suspension, an augmented reality head-up display, a B&O premium sound system, rear USB charging, massaging seats, and a panoramic glass roof with switchable transparency control.

Prices for the new A6 E-Tron Sportback are £69,900 with the Sport grade, £73,400 with S Line, £78,400 with Edition 1, and £97,500 for the S6 Edition 1. Avant versions incur a £1,800 premium.

The first UK customer deliveries are due in February 2025.
